Teaching on the Guru Yoga of the 16th Karmapa
By Khenpo Choedrak Tenphel Rinpoche
Saturday, May 2 at 5 p.m.
And every Saturday until June 6th
It was the 16th Karmapa himself who wrote this Guru Yoga at the age of 35. This text, which is very short, is renowned for its depth; it is said to contain everything that can be found in more extensive practices. As Jigme Rinpoche explained, "Connecting with the Karmapa through the practice of Guru Yoga helps to gradually dispel our obscurations and allows us to recognize the immaculate qualities of the mind". Khenpo Rinpoche gives the instructions on this meditation practice. He received the transmission as well as the ritual reading directly from the 16th Karmapa.
The teachings will be given every Saturday at 5 pm (for a duration of about 1h30) from May 2 up to and including Saturday 6 June.
The teachings, transmitted in Tibetan and translated into English, will be available on Karma Samphel Ling's YouTube channel.
Simultaneous translations into French, Spanish and German will be available through Dhagpo Kagyu Ling via the following YouTube channels:
German: DKL - Translation
French: Dhagpo Kagyu Ling's Youtube Channel
Spanish: Traduction DKL
The lectures will be available online after the Livestream via the respective YouTube channels, until further notice.
In general, when we physically attend this type of teaching, we take part in course fees that cover the expenses the center incurs to make Dharma transmission possible. In light of the current circumstances and the transmission via Youtube intended for the greatest number of people possible, these teachings will be open-access and free of charge.
In order to increase this generosity, and following the wishes of Khenpo Choedrak Rinpoche, you can make a donation to the French humanitarian association Knowledge Rising, which works in Nepal in Shamar Rinpoche's large humanitarian and educational monastic centre Sharminub".
